I’m Mel and I was born and raised in Victoria BC. My journey with my business started in 2014, after I had my 2nd son and was looking to decorate his nursery. I was interested in designs that incorporated a rustic and West Coast feel but I couldn’t find the exact style so I decided to create my own decor. My background is in Biology and Veterinary Medicine, and I am inspired by nature, adventure, my 3 boys, and the beautiful West Coast. I love a good inspirational quote and I love being pushed out of my comfort zone to try new things. In 2017 I took a calligraphy class and since then have loved lettering on anything! (my favorite is sea glass). I love to work with event planners and Brides to be to create the perfect decor and stationery pieces for their special day. In 2019 I started to incorporate watercolor into my designs and it’s one of my favorite things to create. I am honored to have had my work featured in well-known and local wedding magazines and blogs as well as to have won the Best Custom Stationery Award with the Vancouver Island Wedding Awards in 2018. When I am not creating or designing, I love to spend time and be active with my 3 boys, my husband, my golden retriever and 2 cats.
