Three days of flu shot clinics will be offered at the Juan de Fuca Fieldhouse on Sunday, October 25th, Sunday, November 1st and Sunday, November 8th. Vaccinations will be administered by pharmacists from Latoria Pharmacy IDA.

Book your half hour appointment on any one of the three Sundays between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. To ensure safe distancing, registration is required.

Why get a flu shot?

Seasonal influenza, often called the flu, is a serious, infectious and contagious respiratory illness. You can spread the flu 24 hours before showing any symptoms, and five to seven days after symptoms begin. Taking precautions against getting the flu is an important step in protecting your health and the health of others as well as preventing our health care system from being overwhelmed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Learn more about the flu at HealthLinkBC.

Falling ill with the flu could weaken your immune system and make you more vulnerable to the COVID-19 virus.

Healthy people, thriving community

Helping residents and businesses thrive throughout this pandemic is the goal of Colwood's Economic Recovery Plan. The plan outlines buy local initiatives and supports for businesses, but also focuses on prosperity at the household level. Prosperity is about things like income and housing, but also means you have time to spend with loved ones, access to nature, parks and recreation, as well as other activities that foster wellbeing and enjoyment.

The plan includes things like easing property tax due dates to reduce financial pressure on residents and businesses, neighbourhood placemaking contests to provide seed funding for local improvements, encouraging access to mental health supports, promoting food security through community gardens and local growing, and moving forward with parks, transportation and public realm improvements that will improve how we move around and enjoy Colwood.

"When families are healthy and prosperous, businesses have greater opportunity to thrive and the community is stronger as a whole." - Colwood Mayor Rob Martin
