Colwood Waste Reduction Challenge
February 4 - April 22 (Earth Day)
The City of Colwood invites you to participate in the Show Us Your Mug challenge, a community-wide challenge that makes reducing waste easy, rewarding, and fun. This campaign is in partnership with PICK Colwood volunteer group, whose volunteers are doing incredible work to remove litter and tackle waste reduction in our community.
Every day, thousands of single-use coffee cups end up in our local landfills. Bringing your own coffee mug for your coffee purchases is a simple action that helps reduce single-use waste, keeps cups out of landfills, and protects Colwood’s natural environment — one coffee mug at a time.
Show Us Your Mug. Get Rewarded. 3 Ways to Enter.
Participating is simple: Every time you bring a reusable mug for your coffee purchase — instead of using a single-use coffee cup — you earn entries to win local prizes. Choose one, two, or all three ways to enter the prize draws.
Collect Stamps on a Contest Card
Bring your reusable mug to get coffee at a participating Colwood business and ask for a stamp card and stamp.
- One stamp equals one contest entry
- Contest cards are available at participating locations and City Hall
- Email a photo of your stamp card(s) to ShowUsYourMug@Colwood.ca. Each stamp is one entry to the prize draws

Prizes and Incentives
Doing good for the environment comes with real perks. All "Show Us Your Mug" entries — stamp cards, photo uploads, and social posts — are included in prize draws.

Show Us Your Mug is proudly supported by local Colwood coffee shops and eateries that accept reusable mugs and reduce single-use waste in our community. Look for the Show Us Your Mug poster or tent card near the till to know you are in the right place.
