Please be advised that BC Hydro underground infrastructure work is taking place on Metchosin Road at the intersection of Ryder Hesjedal Way from November 6 to November 18, 2026, between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Motorists should expect changing traffic patterns throughout the work area. During most of the construction, one lane of Metchosin Road will remain open to through traffic in one direction. Typically, southbound traffic will be detoured via Latoria Boulevard and Ryder Hesjedal Way between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm, while northbound traffic will generally be detoured via Ryder Hesjedal Way and Latoria Boulevard after 3:00 pm.

In addition, full closures of Metchosin Road are scheduled for Thursday November 12, 2026, and Friday November 13, 2026, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. During these periods, traffic will be detoured around the work area.

Please reduce your speed, use caution, and follow the directions of Traffic Control Personnel and all posted signage. Allow extra travel time and consider alternative routes where possible.
