At Colwood's Music in the Park event on Saturday, August 30th we celebrated our community groups and volunteers. What a gorgeous night to be out enjoying the music of Freeze Frame with friends, family and neighbours while being inspired by some incredible volunteers!!

Many groups to learn about and volunteer activities choose from
Colwood is fortunate to have many volunteer-led Community Groups and we were pleased to have the following groups share information and have conversations with neighbours about the work they do how everyone is invited to be involved.
- Citizens Environment Network in Colwood
- Emergency Support Services - Colwood & View Royal
- Juan de Fuca Performing Arts
- Latoria Creek Preservation Group
- Reimagine West Shore
- PICK Colwood
- Soroptimist Club of the West Shore
- Wild Wise
- And the newly formed Friends of Colwood Parks!
These groups are active in everything from performing arts to wildlife education, empowerment of women and girls, emergency preparedness, sustainable living, and Colwood park and community stewardship.
Volunteer passports and prizes
Thanks to everyone who participated in our Volunteer Passport game by visiting these groups, joining in their activities and entering our prize draw for a insulated cooler and picnic kit! Councillor David Grove was pleased to present the prize to our winner during the event.

Get involved and meet like-minded neighbours!
