Celebrating Volunteers

Volunteers are the heart of our community, driving positive change from preserving our parks, supporting youth and senior programs, providing arts & cultural experiences, to leading climate action and food security initiatives. In celebration of National Volunteer Week, the City of Colwood and local community partners have teamed up to give back to our volunteers.

Registered volunteers will receive a Volunteer Perk Pass, offering perks and special gifts from generous local businesses and organizations.
Throughout the month of April, look for Volunteer Spotlights, sharing the stories of just a few of the people doing good in our community.
We'll wrap up the week by hosting the Colwood Connect Fest: Celebrate Spring with Colwood Community Groups —free, family-friendly event for all Colwood residents.

Volunteer Perk Pass Program

April 1 - 25, 2026

As a thank-you to our valued community groups and volunteers, we’re excited to offer registered volunteers the Colwood Volunteer Perk Pass. The pass gives registered volunteers access to perks and special gifts from generous, community-minded local businesses and organizations throughout Volunteer Week.

How the Perk Pass Card works:

Registered Colwood Community Group leaders will provide cards to their volunteers
Volunteers can visit the participating locations (see full list below)
Volunteers then present the Perk Pass Card to claim the perk
The sponsoring business will put a sticker on the back of the card
Each perk can be claimed once per location from April 1 - 25 only
