What Information May be Included
A Property Information Request may include records such as:
- Occupancy permits
- Building permits
- Plumbing permits
- Oil tank permits
- Woodstove permits
- Available survey(s), if on file
Please note: The City may not have records available for all properties.
Fees & Payment
- Property owners: No processing fee
- Non-property owners (i.e., realtors): $15 processing fee per request
If a fee is required, city staff will contact you after you submit your request to arrange payment.

- Credit card by phone
- In person at Colwood City Hall (3300 Wishart Road)
Processing Time
Property information requests are processed as soon as possible, and in the order they are received. Most property requests are completed within 2-3 business days, although response times will vary, depending on request volume.

Building Plans & Freedom of Information Requests
Building plans are not included in a Property Information Request.
To request building plans, you must submit a Request for Access to Records (Freedom of Information request).
- Non-property owners are required to include an Agent Authorization
- Additional fees may apply under FOIPPA
