Expect a temporary slow down on the Galloping Goose in Colwood tomorrow.

The CRD is planning some emergency work on the Galloping Goose Trail on Friday, August 5 as we work together to prepare for a new Galloping Goose Bridge that will improve safety and convenience for trail users.

There will be traffic control people on the trail between Sooke/Aldene and Sooke Road near Denny’s to direct pedestrians and cyclists around the work area.

The work is expected to be complete by the end of the day Friday.

This is preliminary work in advance of a larger project that will occur in the coming weeks and may impact trail users again.

We appreciate your patience as we work toward the design and construction of a new bridge to encourage safe and enjoyable active transportation.
