After a valuable summer observing how Ocean Boulevard can be enjoyed without through traffic, last night Council reaffirmed their June 22 resolution to reopen the road in September.

The City will work to remove the barriers by the end of the day on September 8, following the long weekend.

One outcome of this summer's community conversation about Ocean Boulevard is confirmation that Colwood's waterfront is a destination valued by people around the region.

We're excited to be creating a 10-year Waterfront Public Realm Improvement Plan that will include a multi-use pathway from the Lagoon Beach to Royal Bay and other enhancements while promoting ecological stewardship and fostering collaboration with the Indigenous community. www.colwood.ca/RFP

Please take it slow on Ocean Boulevard and surrounding roads so all park users and homeowners feel safe, and enjoy the beach and the spectacular views!
