Pedestirans and cyclists are not permitted on Ocean Boulevard during paving work

The City has been taking advantage of current closures to plan and undertake repairs along Ocean Boulevard.

Over the past several weeks, site surveys, pavement condition assessments and drainage upgrades were taking place. This week large sections of the road surface are being removed and new asphalt patches will be applied. Heavy machinery is being used on the road, and materials are being hauled in and out. 

While the beach remains open to visitors, pedestrians and cyclists cannot be safely permitted on the road or shoulders while the repairs are underway.

Repairs are expected to be complete by May 15th. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
