The Colwood Public Works team is continuing with road repairs as much as possible amid ongoing COVID-19 response actions, which must take priority.

Public Works staff have been on the front lines of this crisis, implementing closures and intensified cleaning and waste management procedures based on the direction of the Provincial Health Officer. These steps are in addition to their ongoing maintenance, repair and seasonal operations. Road repairs in areas hardest hit by winter weather will be tackled in order of priority.

Colwood Mayor Rob Martin has high praise for the team's work during this crisis. "Public works is the backbone of the city. I'm grateful for their continued outstanding service to our community."

"I’m proud to be part of a community here in Colwood that is following the direction of Dr. Bonnie Henry and seeing the results as we flatten what might otherwise have been a deadly curve," said Mayor Martin.
