Victoria’s largest water gun battle is back at Fort Rodd Hill!

Join us at Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites on Saturday, August 17 with your water guns at the ready for Parks Canada's annual Water Gun Wars event.

Come and try to “Storm the Fort,” then join the many games. Activities, including an obstacle course, target practice, craft table and the famous water battle run from 12:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Military re-enactors and vehicles will be on location.

There's ice cream

As a special treat this year, folks can enjoy the unique Fort Rodd Hill signature blends of ice cream available for purchase! Flavours are inspired by the site itself—Apple Cider Oatmeal, Eat Your Invasive Blackberry, Chocolate Ration Cake. Vegan options available. You can bring a picnic lunch to complete the day!

Get ready to get wet

If visitors want to participate in the water gun battle, they need to expect to get wet and wear appropriate clothing. Participants can bring their own mega water gun. We will also have some spare squirt guns, super soakers, buckets, and sponges, available. Visitors who would rather stay dry have the opportunity to participate in many other games.

Cost

The Government of Canada is pleased to offer free admission to youth aged 17 and under. For adults and seniors general admission applies ($3.90 for an adult and $3.40 for a senior).

These outdoor events are one way Parks Canada is helping Canadians connect with nature and history. For details on schedule and additional information, follow @FortRoddFisgardNHS
