Official voting results show that Carol Hamilton will continue as Mayor of Colwood, earning 2,368 votes out of the total 2,940 votes cast in Colwood. Mayoral candidate Robin Stanbridge followed with 359 votes and David Shebib finished with 94 votes.

Here are the 6 Council candidates who earned the most votes:

Rob Martin - 1,896 votes
Cynthia Day - 1,881 votes
Gordie Logan - 1,846 votes
Jason Nault - 1,708 votes
Lilja Chong - 1,564 votes
Terry Trace -  1,430 votes

Based on these numbers, returning Councillors are Gordie Logan, Rob Martin and Cynthia Day. The three new members of Council are Jason Nault, Lilja Chong and Terry Trace. You can read about them on our Candidate Profiles page

Natalia Lebedynsky - Pro Amalgamation Party - 1,226 votes
Duane MacNeill - 935 votes
Paul DeVito - 676 votes
Steve Huneck - 480 votes

Inaugural Meeting of Council

The new Council will be sworn in during the Inaugural Meeting of Council on December 1, 2014. The meeting will include Mayor and Councillors’ Oath of Office, the Mayor’s Inaugural Address and recognition of members of the previous Council. The public is invited to attend this event. Light refreshments will be served.

Stay involved with your new Council

Colwood Council meetings are scheduled for the second and fourth Monday of every month at Colwood City Hall and citizens are encouraged to attend anytime. You can also watch Council meetings online and review Council agendas and minutes.

Take a moment to review the new Colwood Economic Development Strategy and soon to be released Colwood Transportation Master Plan. These plans will guide refreshing changes in Colwood, attracting new business and development, creating enjoyable places and improving our quality of life and sustainability.
