Tour de Shores is a small preview concert for Rock the Shores - Vancouver Island's biggest rock concert that is held at West Shore Parks & Recreation in Colwood each year.

On Saturday, June 25th, Rock The Shores presents the second annual Tour De Shores. Catch a free, outdoor performance on the travelling trailer stage by #RTS2016 Band of Rascals. They'll visit four communities on Vancouver Island in a single day, travelling over 200KM and provide hours of free entertainment.

The final stop and biggest show, will be at the lagoon on Ocean Boulevard in Colwood, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

MC's Dylan and Jason from The Zone at 91-3 will host, Stinging Belle will kick things off, and Band of Rascals will finish off the evening.

There will also be beer from Phillips Brewing & Malting Co., cider from Merridale Ciderworks, and food from L'Authentique Poutine and Burger!

Beach party anyone?

Charities

We are happy to be partnering up this year with both Tour De Rock and The TLC Fund for Kids. A portion of all Rock The Shores ticket sales at each stop will go to the corresponding charity. Courtenay and Nanaimo events will benefit Tour de Rock; Duncan and Colwood events will benefit TLC Fund for Kids.

Tour De Rock - What a perfect fit! The simplest answer is that it’s a two-week bicycle journey in which a team of police officers rides 1,000 kilometres from the north end of Vancouver Island to the south, raising money to fight childhood cancer. Since 1998, the Tour has raised more than $20 million for the Canadian Cancer Society, which uses the money to fund pediatric cancer research and programs that help children with cancer and their families.

TLC Fund for Kids - Established in October 1998, The T.L.C. Fund for Kids raises funds to aid in the wellness and quality of life for all children in the Capital Regional District. Since its inception, The T.L.C. Fund for Kids distributed almost $300,000 in support of children’s needs in our community. Money is raised through contributions, fundraising campaigns and community events. From educational programs, to grief counseling, to special care, The T.L.C. Fund for Kids supports the needs of children in the Capital Region. Any not-for-profit organization dedicated to the health, happiness and betterment of life for children in Greater Victoria is eligible to benefit from funds raised by The T.L.C. Fund for Kids!
