The new Colwood logo is a sign of positive changes to come for our City. We have big plans! We’ll be reaching out to residents and partners in new ways to ensure their input is reflected in Colwood’s economic development, transportation networks, land use strategy, sewage treatment options, our coastline and more.

The logo uses fresh bright colours to depict some of our City’s most valued aspects:

  • green symbolizes our natural forests, parks, green spaces and commitment to sustainability;
  • yellow symbolizes our vibrant community, healthy lifestyle, rich culture and history;
  • blue symbolizes our incredible waterfront location and thriving economy.

The intersecting lines symbolize the City’s desire to look at opportunities and issues from many angles to ensure that we meet the unique and diverse needs of our community. They reflect our goal of reaching out to residents and stakeholders, and creating pathways to partnerships that will continue to make Colwood a great place to live, work and play.

Hatley Castle, depicted in the centre, is a foundation of Colwood’s history and along with other important sites like Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse, continues to play a vital role in our community. These sites are popular tourist destinations and points of pride for the region.
