Bylaw Enforcement is about protecting the safety and quality of life of residents. Bylaw Enforcement Officers receive and investigate complaints, monitor issues and work with individuals to encourage voluntary compliance through education and mediation. When enforcement is required, Bylaw Officers are authorized to issue municipal tickets and fines or seek legal recourse, as described in the Municipal Ticket Information Bylaw No. 761, 2004.
Bylaw Officers provide an important preventative enforcement presence in our community and work in close partnership with the Colwood Fire Department and Westshore RCMP. Read more in the Colwood Municipal Bylaw Enforcement 2015 Annual Report.
