At their meeting of May 24, 2016, Colwood Council approved the following requests to relax the noise bylaw for special events. 

• A request from the residents and owners of Ocean Grove for a relaxation of Sections C.1 and C.3 of the Colwood Noise Bylaw No. 38, 1986 to allow for their Ocean Grove residents' barbecue and concert to take place on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 3226 Selleck Way between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Council required that organizers notify neighbouring areas about the event.  
   
• A request from City staff for a relaxation of Sections C.1 and C.3 of the Colwood Noise Bylaw No. 38, 1986 to allow for the Eats & Beats at the Beach community event  to take place on Saturday, July 9, 2016 on Ocean Boulevard between the hours of 1:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Council required that staff notify neighbouring areas about the event. 
   
• A request from West Shore Parks & Recreation for a relaxation of Sections C.1 and C.3 of the Colwood Noise Bylaw No. 38, 1986 to allow for their annual Neighbourhood Nights on Thursday July 14, 2l and 29 and August 4 and 18, 2016 at Herm Williams Park starting at 6:00p.m.. 

At their meeting of June 13, 2016, Colwood Council approved the following requests to relax the noise bylaw for special events. 

• A request from Atomique Productions for a relaxation of Sections C.1 and C.3 of the Colwood Noise Bylaw No. 38, 1986 to allow for Tour de Shores, a one-time event to take place on Saturday, June 25, 2016 between the hours of 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm at the waterfront on Ocean Boulevard. Council required that the event organizers notify neighbouring areas about the event.
