Community members, along with Council and staff, have expressed concerns about aspects of recent development activity within Colwood.

Dust emission and rock crushing activity have been one area of concern, particularly during last summer's hot, dry weather.

More recently, Council, staff and residents have expressed concerns about the design and construction of retaining walls in the city. 

Council has directed staff to draft new bylaws to regulate these activities, and to consult with residents, partners and other stakeholders about the regulations.
